Shayne has been working in data and analytics roles in the insurance industry for over 15 years. He has undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Business from the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University and a Master’s degree in Data Science from the University of British Columbia. Shayne worked in Lloyd’s of London (MS Amlin) as a Pricing Actuary and Treaty Underwriter focused on North American reinsurance for nearly a decade before moving to the west coast of Canada in 2018. He managed analytics and underwriting teams at BCAA for two years before joining Westland Insurance in 2021 to lead a newly created Data, Analytics and Pricing team that is building industry leading capabilities for insurance broking in Canada.
