Josh Kim is a Lead Data Scientist at Royal Bank of Canada with over five years of experience. With a background in statistics from Simon Fraser University, Josh has a strong foundation that informs the development of scalable, data-driven solutions. At RBC, Josh plays a pivotal role in the productionization of data-driven products, transforming complex data models and domain algorithms into scalable solutions. His current mandate is to lead the newly created Climate Data Product Center of Excellence to help clients accelerate and transition to a greener economy.
Josh’s unique career trajectory includes a prior leadership role as a sales lead in the retail industry, cultivating a strong business acumen and customer-centric approach, enhancing the ability to bridge the gap between data science and real-world applications. He is actively involved in the data science community by serving as speaker/mentor across events and formerly teaching at Brainstation.
